As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will manage full-cycle recruitment for assigned positions across the organization. Working within established recruitment processes and guidelines, you will partner closely with hiring managers, provide practical recommendations, conduct effective interviews, and help ensure a timely and positive recruitment experience for candidates and hiring managers.
This role is ideal for a proactive and relationship-focused recruiter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is organized and detail-oriented, and is confident partnering with hiring managers to attract, assess, and hire top talent. The successful candidate will also identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes, reporting, tools, and overall service delivery.
You Will
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for assigned positions across the organization, from intake meetings and candidate sourcing through screening, interviews, offers, pre-employment checks, and onboarding.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, clarify job requirements, , and support effective hiring decisions.
- Execute approved sourcing approaches and provide practical recommendations based on candidate availability, market trends, talent-market insights, and hiring requirements.
- Create compelling job advertisements and manage postings across job boards, social media, and other recruitment channels.
- Review applications, conduct candidate screening and behavioural interviews, assess candidate qualifications and fit, and maintain timely communication throughout the recruitment process.
- Deliver a positive, professional, and consistent candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Prepare offers, employment agreements, and related documentation while coordinating background and reference checks.
- Track, analyze, and report on recruitment metrics including time-to-fill, source effectiveness, quality of hire, hiring manager satisfaction, candidate experience, and other key performance indicators, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain accurate candidate records, recruitment documentation, and data integrity within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Identify opportunities to continuously improve recruitment processes, tools, reporting, and service delivery.
- Support employer-branding initiatives, recruitment campaigns, career events, and other talent acquisition or HR projects as required.
You Should Have / Be
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, or a related HR role, with hands-on experience managing full-cycle recruitment. Corporate recruitment experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple vacancies, competing priorities, and time-sensitive hiring needs.
- Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruiting technologies to manage recruitment processes and candidate pipelines.
- Demonstrated ability to build credibility and influence hiring managers and stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
- Strong interviewing, candidate-assessment, relationship-management, and negotiation skills.
- A process-oriented and data-informed mindset, with an interest in improving hiring quality, efficiency, and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with hiring managers and internal stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of applicable employment standards and human rights legislation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, professionalism, discretion, and strong attention to detail. Chinese language proficiency is preferred.
- A CHRP designation is an asset.
