EC International Group
Job Description
Commercial Project Manager – French & European Markets
Ready for a new challenge combining business development, customer relationship management and industrial project management?
EC International Group is a global player in prototype manufacturing and low-volume production of plastic and metal parts, supporting customers across demanding industries including aerospace, defense, space, robotics, medical, energy, automotive, and other industrial sectors.
Our manufacturing capabilities include CNC machining, injection moulding, sheet metal, stamping and forming, vacuum casting, 3D printing, extrusion, die casting and other advanced manufacturing technologies.
Our European R&D Centre in Sant Cugat del Vallès, Barcelona, is looking for a Commercial Project Manager to manage and develop customers across the French and other European markets.
YOUR ROLE
Reporting to the Director of the European R&D Centre, you will be responsible for managing and developing customer accounts and projects across France and other European markets, from the initial RFQ through quotation, order, production, delivery and after-sales.
This is a customer-facing and commercially driven Project Management position.
You do not need to be a design or manufacturing engineer. However, you must be comfortable working in a technical industrial environment and be able to understand customer requirements and coordinate efficiently with our factories, suppliers and internal technical teams.
You will act as the main point of contact for your customers throughout the entire project lifecycle, combining commercial responsibility with end-to-end project ownership.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Managing and developing direct relationships with customers across France and other European markets;
- Understanding customer requirements, applications and project constraints;
- Managing incoming RFQs and coordinating their technical and commercial assessment;
- Working closely with our manufacturing facilities and suppliers to identify the most suitable production solution;
- Preparing and sending competitive technical and commercial quotations;
- Actively following up quotations and commercial opportunities in order to convert them into orders;
- Achieving your individual monthly order-intake objectives;
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities within existing and prospective customer accounts;
- Developing customer portfolios and increasing business with existing customers;
- Managing customer orders from confirmation through production and delivery;
- Coordinating our manufacturing facilities, suppliers, Quality, Logistics and internal teams;
- Ensuring customers receive regular, clear and proactive project updates;
- Managing delivery issues, quality concerns and after-sales requirements through to resolution;
- Maintaining accurate customer, quotation, order and opportunity information in our CRM/ERP systems;
- Participating in customer meetings to present and explain our quotations from both a commercial and technical perspective, address customer questions, and support the conversion of quotations into orders.
- Participating in trade fairs, when necessary, alongside our local Business Development Managers, to develop customer relationships and generate new business opportunities.
THE PROFILE WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking above all for someone with a strong commercial and customer-focused mindset, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to manage multiple industrial projects simultaneously.
You may come from a commercial, business, engineering, industrial, supply-chain or project-management background.
A mechanical engineering degree is not mandatory.
You should have:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Management, Supply Chain, Project Management or another relevant field, or equivalent professional experience;
- Ideally at least 2 years of experience in B2B sales, account management, customer-facing project management or a similar position;
- Experience working with industrial or manufacturing customers is strongly appreciated;
- A strong commercial and customer-focused mindset, with a genuine interest in understanding customer needs, delivering a high level of service and developing business;
- The ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships based on trust, responsiveness and reliability;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Strong quotation follow-up and negotiation skills;
- The ability to identify and develop new commercial opportunities;
- The ability to understand technical information, drawings, specifications and manufacturing requirements;
- Strong organisational and project-management skills;
- The ability to manage several customers, projects and priorities simultaneously;
- A proactive, responsive, solution-oriented and result-oriented mindset;
- Experience using CRM and/or ERP systems;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office;
- Fluent French;
- Good professional English.
Knowledge of additional European languages would be an advantage.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, injection moulding, sheet metal, plastics processing, prototyping or low-volume production would also be an advantage, but deep technical expertise is not required.
WHAT WE OFFER
- A key customer-facing position within an international industrial group;
- Responsibility for customers and projects across France and other European markets;
- Full ownership of projects from RFQ through quotation, order, production, delivery and after-sales;
- Direct interaction with our international manufacturing facilities and suppliers;
- The opportunity to build long-term relationships with major industrial customers;
- A position combining business development, customer relationship management and project management;
- Attractive monthly performance-based commissions linked to individual order intake, in addition to the fixed salary;
- Significant earning potential for high performers;
- Career development opportunities within an international and growing Group.
