As a Gym Instructor, you’ll play a key role in helping people improve their health, fitness and confidence.
You’ll support members of all ages and abilities, delivering safe, effective programs and creating a friendly environment where everyone feels welcome. Working within our Health & Fitness team, you’ll make a real impact through every interaction—helping people start strong, stay motivated and achieve their goals.

What You’ll Be Doing
You will:

  • Conduct fitness appraisals and create customised programs
  • Support members with technique, equipment use and safe training
  • Lead small‑group gym circuit sessions as required
  • Provide excellent customer service in person and by phone
  • Encourage members to book regular appraisals and stay active
  • Maintain gym areas and equipment to a high standard
  • Build rapport and identify opportunities for PT engagement
  • Assist with promotional programs and centre initiatives
  • Follow cash‑handling and customer service processes
  • Support a safe, positive and inclusive training environment

What You’ll Bring
You’re supportive, knowledgeable and passionate about helping others succeed. Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • AusActive registration or industry‑recognised equivalent
  • Certificate IV in Health & Fitness (or equivalent)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in the recreation or fitness industry
  • Ability to interpret customer needs and respond effectively
  • Experience in appraisals or program design (desirable)
  • Experience delivering group fitness or small‑group sessions (desirable)
  • Working With Children Check (essential)
  • National Police Clearance (essential)
