Interior Estimation & Project Coordinator

Job Summary :

We are looking for an Interior Estimation & Project Coordinator with 2–3 years of experience in the interior design and execution industry. The candidate will support the project and production teams in estimation, material quality control, vendor coordination, site measurements, and project documentation.

The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of interior materials, hardware, modular furniture, and basic site execution processes.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Estimation & BOQ

·  Assist in preparing project estimates, BOQ and material requirements.

·  Understand drawings and calculate quantities for plywood, laminates, hardware, fittings and other interior materials.

·   Obtain and compare vendor quotations.

·   Assist in preparing costing and purchase requirements.

·   Coordinate with the project and production teams to ensure quantities are accurate.

2. Site Measurement

·   Visit project sites for initial and detailed measurements.

·   Take accurate measurements of walls, rooms, openings, ceiling levels and existing conditions.

·   Record measurements in measurement sheets/books.

·   Coordinate with designers and project managers during site measurements.

·    Identify site conditions that may affect manufacturing or installation.

3. Material Quality Control

·   Inspect incoming materials such as plywood, MDF, laminates, hardware, adhesives, fittings and accessories.

·   Check materials against approved specifications, BOQ and purchase orders.

·   Identify damaged, incorrect or defective materials and coordinate for replacement.

·   Assist in maintaining material QC records.

4. Vendor Management

·   Coordinate with vendors for quotations, material availability and delivery schedules.

·   Follow up on material orders and deliveries.

·   Compare prices and specifications from different vendors.

·   Develop and maintain good working relationships with suppliers.

·   Assist in resolving material and delivery-related issues.

5. Project & Production Support

·   Coordinate between the designer, project manager, production team, vendors and site team.

·   Assist in tracking material requirements and project progress.

·   Ensure materials required for production and site installation are available on time.

·   Assist with checking manufactured units against drawings and specifications.

·   Support the team during installation and project handover when required.

6. Documentation

·   Maintain BOQs, estimates, measurement sheets, material lists and vendor quotations.

·   Maintain records of material purchases and deliveries.

·   Assist in preparing project-related reports and checklists.

·   Ensure proper documentation is maintained throughout the project

Required Skills :

·   2–3 years of experience in interior design, modular furniture, contracting or interior execution.

·   Good knowledge of plywood, MDF, laminates, veneers, acrylic, hardware and interior fittings.

·   Ability to read and understand basic 2D interior drawings.

·   Good knowledge of measurements and quantity calculations.

·   Basic knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred.

·   Good communication and vendor coordination skills.

·   Good knowledge of MS Excel.

·   Ability to identify material quality and defects.

·   Willingness to travel to project sites when required.

Preferred Candidate :

The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, technically sound and organized, with the ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously. Experience working with an interior contracting or modular furniture company will be an advantage.
