Perioperative Registered Nurse

Bayshore Medical Personnel is seeking a Peri-Operative Registered Nurse to provide services at Montfort Hospital, Ottawa, ON. Hourly compensation: $60 per hour.

Position Description

Perioperative Registered Nurse (Periop RN) is responsible for nursing activities associated with the needs of surgical patients throughout the perioperative experience, encompassing pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases. The Periop RN functions either as a scrub nurse or a circulating nurse.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a recognized university.
• Registered Nurse license from the provincial or territorial professional college or association in the province of practice.
• Certificate of Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or CPR/AED Level C; annual recertification required.
• Certificate from a hospital-based or ORNAC approved Perioperative Nursing Certification Program.
• Minimum 2 full-time years of peri-operative clinical experience in the last 4 years, including scrub and circulating roles within general Orthopedic, ENT, and/or Plastic surgical specialties.
