Are you an experienced Project Manager with a background in core banking transformation? This is an opportunity to lead complex, customer-facing implementation projects with a global financial technology leader.

At Finastra, our solutions power banks and financial institutions around the world. We are looking for a Professional Services Project Manager to join our Universal Banking team in Madrid and take ownership of end-to-end core banking delivery across SaaS, cloud and on-premise environments.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead end-to-end implementation projects for Finastra’s core banking solutions, from planning and scoping through to deployment and post-implementation review.
  • Act as the main point of contact for customers, ensuring clear communication, strong stakeholder alignment and successful delivery outcomes.
  • Define project scope, timelines, resources, success measures, risks and dependencies in collaboration with customer and internal teams.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across product, technology, operations, customers, partners and third-party vendors.
  • Oversee key delivery activities including requirements, configuration, data migration, integration, testing, deployment and change control.
  • Track progress, manage RAID items and provide clear reporting to senior stakeholders.
  • Contribute to proposals, estimates and project planning for new and existing customers.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience managing IT projects or programmes within banking, financial services, fintech or enterprise software environments.
  • A background delivering core banking implementation projects, ideally involving platforms such as Finacle, Temenos, Oracle or equivalent solutions.
  • Good understanding of SaaS, cloud, APIs, middleware, data migration, integrations and digital banking delivery.
  • Confidence managing complex customer relationships, influencing stakeholders and keeping delivery teams aligned.
  • Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Project management certifications such as PMP, Prince2, PgMP or ITIL would be advantageous but are not essential.

Why this role?

  • Play a visible role in major banking transformation projects with leading financial institutions.
  • Join a collaborative global team working on mission-critical technology at the centre of core banking.
  • Be part of a growing Madrid presence with hybrid working, international exposure and opportunities to develop your career.

If you are a customer-focused Project Manager who understands core banking delivery and enjoys leading complex software implementations, we’d love to hear from you.
