What youll be doing
Youve probably guessed, and youre right, youll be completing carpentry works including fitting kitchen units, kitchen worktops, plinths, wall tiling, bath panels, hang doors (both internal and external), fitting grab rails and shower seats when required and any other works associated with normal carpentry also a working knowledge of other trades (i.e. plumbing) as directed by line manager.You will at times be required to work at height from ladders, tower working platforms and mobile elevated work platforms
Youll be working in our customers homes, so youll have a customer service focus with an inquisitive mind to get to the bottom of the problems. Youll work in a team of trades so therell always be someone available to support you.
About you
Youll have a carpentry qualification, NVQ or equivalent. Youll be able to identify causes and specify materials required to rectify carpentry issues.
Youll need to be a confident user of IT, your work is shared via a PDA and youll need to control & manage your van stock electronically.
Youll be working in a team of other trades on response and repairs, delivering excellent customer service working together to improve our customers homes. Teamwork and collaboration are essential to get the job done and ensure customer satisfaction.
Youll be working with a variety of teams and communicating with them regularly, so youll be confident in managing expectations of both internal and external customers.
We will supply a company vehicle to get you around, so youll need a full, UK manual driving licence.
