The Role

RockCorps is launching in Brazil in partnership with a major global brand. Each year, the program will engage 40,000 volunteers who will each give 4 hours of their time across 300 community volunteer projects, delivered with up to 200 partner NGOs (160,000 hours of volunteering in total) across 6 cities: São Paulo (the hub city, hosting the vast majority of projects) plus Belém, Salvador, Brasília, Porto Alegre, Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte. Volunteer projects will run from November 2026 to April 2027.

These community projects culminate in a celebration concert in São Paulo in April 2027, featuring international and Brazilian artists. The only people attending will be those that did the volunteer work "Give, Get Given" model.

RockCorps is now recruiting its core management team for this project.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, the HR & Admin Manager is responsible for HR, administration and general services for the RockCorps Brazil team, and directly manages two reports – a Bookkeeper and an Office Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Overall:

  • Ultimate responsibility for HR, administration and general services for the RockCorps Brazil program
  • Directly recruit, manage and support two direct reports – a Bookkeeper and an Office Manager
  • Maintain compliance with Brazilian labor and administrative regulations at all times

HR:

  • Own recruitment, contracting and HR administration for the entire Brazil team (100+ people) at speed, working closely with hiring managers across all functions
  • Lead onboarding for new joiners: contracts, documentation, welcome kits, equipment and access set-up
  • Manage day-to-day personnel administration (leave, expenses, documentation, employee queries) in line with Brazilian labor law
  • Coordinate with the accounting firm, together with the Bookkeeper, on payroll and social/tax declarations

Finance & Accounting:

  • Track expenses and monitor the program budget together with the Head of Operations
  • Oversee supplier invoicing and approvals, in coordination with the Bookkeeper
  • Regular bank and budget reconciliations
  • Support the accounting firm in preparing annual accounts

Office & General Services:

  • Supervise the day-to-day management of the São Paulo office and warehouses, together with the Office Manager
  • Oversee office supplies, equipment and meeting space management
  • Implement and maintain internal administrative procedures
  • Coordinate any office or warehouse changes needed to support team growth
  • Occasionally support RockCorps' Co-Founder and CEO on administrative tasks

Skills & Experience

This is an integral role within the business; leading HR, administration and general services for the RockCorps Brazil Program from planning to a successful implementation.

  • Prior experience in a similar HR / office management role, including at scale (100+ person organizations)
  • Experience managing or mentoring direct reports
  • Strong understanding of Brazilian labor law (CLT) and payroll processes
  • Solid grounding in accounting, budget management and bookkeeping
  • Proactive, highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable being hands'on and versatile across HR, finance and general services
  • Strong ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to a fast‑changing environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, resilient under pressure
  • Have a love of music and sense of humor
  • Bilingual English and Portuguese – fluent to native level - is mandatory
  • Must be based in São Paulo for the duration of the project

Compensation

Salary: BRL 13,450 gross per month, paid over 13 salaries per year (12 monthly payments plus the 13th-salary/"décimo terceiro" bonus, as is standard in Brazil).
