Our data analytics team plays a central role in supporting all facets of the business from affiliate campaigns and media buying to pricing strategies and general analytics, ensuring that data-driven insights inform decision-making at every level.

Over the coming years, we’re focused on scaling and refining our analytics platform to further empower strategic decisions. As a Lead Data Analyst, you’ll help shape our data strategy and contribute to the development of advanced analytics solutions. A key area of impact will be our pricing processes, which are vital to driving revenue and profitability.

The Role

We’re looking for a Lead Data Analyst to expand our analytics capabilities. This role offers a high degree of autonomy and the opportunity to make a significant impact in an innovative setting. You’ll take ownership of our analytics strategy, data pipeline architecture, and the delivery of actionable insights.

We value leaders who are both hands-on and effective mentors. You’ll report directly to the CTO and manage a team of four data analysts.

  • Google Cloud Platform – Cloud infrastructure and data warehousing (BigQuery)
  • dbt – Data modeling and transformation
  • Looker – Business intelligence and reporting
  • Python – Programming and data visualization

Responsibilities

  • Lead the data analytics team and oversee projects across the organisation.
  • Define and execute the strategic analytics roadmap in alignment with business goals.
  • Manage and mentor a team of four data analysts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Finance, Tech, Media Buying) to ensure analytics support key decisions.
  • Contribute hands-on to data analysis and modelling while improving analytics infrastructure.
  • Drive analytics efforts in pricing to optimise campaign performance and profitability.
  • Maintain and enhance dashboards, reports, and data models.
  • Identify opportunities for data-driven improvements and reduce technical debt.
  • Work with internal pricing tools to improve efficiency and profitability.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science).
  • 7+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or similar roles.
  • At least 1 year in a leadership or management position.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with large datasets.
  • Experience building and maintaining cloud-based data pipelines.
  • Skilled in stakeholder communication and requirements gathering.
  • Familiarity with high-volume data environments and large-scale analytics projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with dbt for data modelling and transformation.
  • Proficiency with Looker or similar BI platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, especially BigQuery.
  • Strong Python or R skills for analysis and automation.
