Manufacturing Systems Engineer

I am partnered with an upcoming materials company where they utilise a combined approach using automation and AI to move from discovery toward scale, manufacturing systems.

\n

We are looking for a manufacturing systems engineer who will design and build the systems, processes, and flows that allow the materials platforms to scale from lab-level validation to repeatable, industrially relevant production.

\n

Responsibilities:

\n

• Design end-to-end manufacturing processes and production workflows.

\n

• Define process flows, equipment requirements, and production capacity.

\n

• Translate R&D workflows into scalable manufacturing systems.

\n

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across research, automation, software, and AI.

\n

• You will identify scale up risks and lab-scale assumptions to break higher throughput.

\n

• Design data-driven manufacturing systems that enable continuous process improvement and feedback into development. You will be a key player involved in the feedback loops between manufacturing, experimentation and AI models.

\n

Job Requirements:

\n

• A degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering or something related.

\n

• A minimum of 5+ years of experience designing or scaling manufacturing or process systems in industrial settings

\n

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems engineering.

\n

• Written and verbal fluency in English.
