Senior Developer

Centurion Building Products, an Australian family-owned manufacturer with a national presence, operates under two divisions:

Centurion Framing Systems - our metal framing division that supplies and installs steel roof, wall and flooring systems to the local building industry; and

Centurion Garage Doors - our garage doors division, which has operations across the country and has been servicing builders, resellers and homeowners for 50 years.

About the role

Centurion Building Products is seeking an experienced Senior Developer to work primarily on Centurion Framing Systems projects and related internal business systems.

This is a hands-on senior software development role with real business impact, focused mainly on project development across CFS-related internal systems, including ERP/CRM functionality, integrations, reporting, dashboards and selected automation or AI-enabled improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate will report to and work closely with the Software Architect, and will collaborate with development team members to deliver practical software outcomes that support CFS operations. As business needs arise, the role may also contribute to projects involving Centurion Garage Doors.

Over time, this role offers the opportunity to grow into broader team lead responsibilities, including delivery coordination, mentoring, code review support and day-to-day development guidance.

What you’ll be doing

You will be responsible for:

Providing hands-on senior development across CFS-related internal systems, including ERP/CRM functionality

Delivering project-based software outcomes that support Centurion Framing Systems operations

Enhancing and extending business-critical internal applications

Translating approved technical direction into practical, maintainable development work

Working with CFS stakeholders to clarify requirements, priorities and operational needs

Supporting integrations, reporting, dashboards, automation and selected AI-enabled improvement initiatives

Supporting planning, code reviews, delivery coordination and mentoring as the role develops

Working with source control, release coordination, deployment reliability and DevOps practices

Providing practical technical guidance to development team members where required

Technology environment

The role will involve working with a practical business application stack including:

ASP.NET Zero framework

Angular frontend

DevExpress Reporting and Dashboards

Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code

GitHub source control

Experience with modernisation initiatives and Azure DevOps would be highly regarded.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for a capable senior developer who enjoys being hands-on, can work directly with business stakeholders and is ready to take on greater delivery ownership over time.

You will bring:

Ideally 5+ years’ professional software development experience, although strong candidates with 3-5 years’ relevant experience will be considered

Strong hands-on experience with .NET backend development

Experience with Angular or similar frontend frameworks

Strong SQL Server/database development and troubleshooting capability

Experience developing and supporting internal business systems, ERP/CRM systems or operational platforms

Ability to write reliable, maintainable and supportable code

Good troubleshooting, problem-solving and application support capability

Experience working with integrations, APIs, reporting-related systems or data flows

Understanding of source control, release processes and development workflows

Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

A practical, delivery-focused mindset

Interest in mentoring, code review and future team lead responsibilities

Full-time permanent position

Based at CFS Malaga, WA

On-site presence is preferred, with ad-hoc Work From Home (WFH) available by arrangement
