About the Role

The Risk Department operates as a Second Line of Defence, providing professional support to the business in managing risk across its activities and processes, while promoting and embedding a strong risk-awareness culture throughout the organisation.

As a Credit Risk Analyst VIE, you will support the Risk Manager across a broad range of Credit Risk Management activities. This is an opportunity to develop your knowledge and experience in credit, market and financial risk within a dynamic financial services environment, while gaining exposure to both local and Group-level risk management activities.

You will work closely with the Risk Manager and wider Risk team, contributing to daily monitoring, risk analysis, regulatory reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.

Your Responsibilities

As a Credit Risk Analyst, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Assist with the daily monitoring of Market and Financial Risk, including reviewing daily reports, monitoring limits and analysing any breaches or other topics related to Portfolio Management.
  • Assist with daily Credit Risk monitoring, including: Preparing daily Credit Exposure reports; Analysing Credit Risk breaches; Monitoring local and Group Credit Limits.
  • Follow up on identified breaches from beginning to end, ensuring that appropriate actions are taken and that there are no implications for the Company.
  • Assist the Risk Manager with pending transaction monitoring, future cash flow monitoring, onboarding and liquidation monitoring.
  • Support the Risk Manager with Rating processes and Credit Risk analysis.

Regulatory & Risk Reporting

  • Assist with AnaCredit and Central Bank reporting.
  • Support the Risk Manager on matters presented to the local and Group Risk Committees (RCC).
  • Assist the Risk Manager with Control Executive Committee (CEC) presentations and related preparation.

Stakeholder Support & Team Activities

  • Monitor and manage the Risk Department mailbox, responding to or directing queries to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Risk Department by identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls and ways of working.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to support the effective management of risk.

Education & Experience

  • A Master’s qualification in Finance, Risk Management, Financial Services, Business or Accounting is required.
  • A professional qualification in Credit Risk Management would be an advantage.
  • A minimum of 1–2 years’ experience within a Credit or Market Risk Management environment.
  • Experience in implementing and ensuring adherence to risk management procedures and controls.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required.
  • Advanced Excel skills are required; knowledge of SAS would be desirable.
  • Good knowledge of market instruments
  • Knowledge of Funds and different types of market instruments would be an advantage.
  • Ability to identify and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
