GA Accountant (German market)

My client is looking for a General Accountant who has experience working within European markets but specifically the German market.

Role Overview

Manage statutory audits, tax computations, and month-end US GAAP reporting for European entities, with a focus on German GAAP (HGB) bridge reconciliations and German pension forecasting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare European statutory financial statements and maintain US GAAP to German GAAP (HGB) bridge reconciliations.
• Oversee German pension forecasting models and manage month-end processes.
• Deliver quarterly ASC740 tax computations, US GAAP reporting, and support external tax audits.
• Liaise directly with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure annual compliance.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with practical experience in German GAAP (HGB) and US GAAP.
• Expertise in SOX controls, ERP platforms, and high-volume data reconciliations in Excel.
• Excellent analytical abilities and clear English communication skills.
