Job Description
We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our fully accredited medical practice three to four (3-4) per week- with additional availability to assist with sick and annual leave coverage when required.

We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team for 3-4 days a week and be available to cover sick and annual leave when required.
As a Registered Nurse at Singleton Heights Medical Practice, within our busy Treatment room you will be responsible for:
- Administering medications, iron infusions, Aclasta Infusions.
- Immunisations : NIP, Travel, Yellow fever, Covid
- Assisting Gp's with minor skin procedures and dressings
- Care of Pregnant patients both antenatal and post-natal care check ups
- Performing medicals - Workplace, Insurance, Sporting
- Perform ECG's, ABIM's, ABI's, Spirometry and pathology collection (blood collection not essential)
- Assist with triage, data management, diagnostic services, networking with other providers, planning & management of patient care and patient advocacy. Telephone patients with test results as directed by GP's
- Perform chronic disease management, including monitoring patients with diabetes, hypertension, and other chronic conditions. Mental Health Treatment plans preparation
- Ensure sterilisation and maintenance of clinical equipment. Maintain stocks of clinical supplies, including correct storage (such as refrigeration)
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with data collection for quality improvement initiatives.
- Supporting GPs. Collaborating with administration and management to ensure efficient clinic operations and delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Act within the practice and nursing code of ethics & appropriate level of clinical competence at all times. Maintain awareness of current evidence and research on clinical practices and inform/educate other practice staff. Maintain Registration Education compliance as required by AHPRA.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse qualification with current registration with AHPRA.
- Current Driver's License
- Current Working with Children Certificate
- Current CPR Certificate
- Experience as a Practice Nurse, preferably in a primary care or general practice setting but not essential
- Experience in general practice and with Best Practice software is advantage but not essential.
- Understanding of Medicare billing processes and experience in care plan reviews, and health assessments.
