What you’ll do:\nThis is an opportunity to play a key role in a growing team, providing technical leadership, mentoring engineers and overseeing the successful delivery of multidisciplinary mining projects from concept through to execution.
\nAs a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will provide technical leadership while supporting project delivery across a diverse portfolio of mining projects. Your responsibilities will include:
\nLeading mechanical engineering design and project delivery activities
\nProviding technical direction and governance across project teams
\nDelivering studies, investigations, detailed design and asset improvement projects
\nBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with mining clients and stakeholders
\nMentoring and developing mechanical engineers across the team
\nReviewing and approving engineering deliverables
\nSupporting project planning, budgeting and commercial performance
\nCollaborating with multidisciplinary teams across mechanical, civil, structural, electrical and process disciplines
\nContributing to business development, proposals and client engagement activities
About you:\nYou will be an experienced consulting or owner-side engineer with strong mining industry knowledge and a passion for delivering practical engineering solutions.
\nIdeally, you'll bring:
\n13+ years of mechanical engineering experience
\nProven experience delivering mining, minerals processing or heavy industrial projects
\nStrong knowledge of sustaining capital and brownfield project delivery
\nExperience leading multidisciplinary project teams
\nExcellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills
\nStrong technical expertise across mechanical plant and equipment
\nExperience preparing and reviewing engineering documentation and design packages
\nChartered Engineer status or working towards chartership
\nA Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
