A Senior Analyst, Commercial Accounting to support critical accounting operations, financial reporting, and revenue-related processes. This role serves as a key partner to finance, commercial, customer service, and shared services teams, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, timely period-end close activities, and continuous process improvements. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities, accounting knowledge, and stakeholder management skills to deliver high-quality financial support and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Close & Reporting
- Support the preparation, coordination, and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities.
- Perform revenue-related accounting processes and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and reconciliations.
- Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting requirements.
- Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support business decisions.
Accounting Operations & Reconciliations
- Record accruals and other accounting adjustments affecting revenue and financial results.
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure data integrity.
- Review balance sheet and income statement accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with business partners and finance teams to resolve accounting issues and transactional variances.
- Support audit requests and provide documentation and explanations as required.
Problem Solving & Process Improvement
- Investigate complex accounting issues and recommend appropriate resolutions.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to address revenue-related inquiries and operational challenges.
- Proactively identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and control weaknesses.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives focused on automation, standardization, and operational effectiveness.
- Contribute to the enhancement of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
- Serve as a key point of contact for accounting-related questions and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with commercial, finance, operations, customer service, and shared services teams to ensure seamless execution of accounting processes.
- Support team members by providing technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
- Assist with the implementation of new strategies, projects, and business initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and promote a collaborative working environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional experience in accounting, finance, commercial accounting, or shared services environments.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and period-end close processes.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and resolve complex issues.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to evaluate processes critically and recommend improvements.
- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced business environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team setting.
- Intermediate English proficiency or higher.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- Hands-on experience with SAP, Power BI, and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of internal controls, compliance requirements, and governance frameworks.
- Experience supporting audits and financial compliance activities.
- Familiarity with shared services operations and commercial accounting processes.
- Understanding of revenue accounting, reconciliations, and financial close activities.
- Experience in process improvement, automation, and operational transformation initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with large volumes of financial information.
