The C++ Technical Lead is responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of high-performance C++ applications and systems. This role combines deep technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring software solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business objectives. The Technical Lead provides architectural guidance, drives engineering best practices, mentors development teams, and collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to successfully deliver complex software projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture, design, development, and deployment of C++ applications and software systems.
- Provide technical leadership and direction to development teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to engineering standards.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and cross-functional teams to define technical solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
- Review code, enforce coding standards, and promote best practices in software engineering, testing, and documentation.
- Analyze and resolve complex technical challenges related to performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Mentor and coach software engineers, fostering technical growth and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Drive system design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions for new and existing products.
- Implement and promote modern development practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, and code quality initiatives.
- Ensure efficient project execution by identifying technical risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements within the C++ ecosystem.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Advanced C++ Programming Expertise (Level 5)
- Strong proficiency in modern C++ (C++14, C++17, C++20, and newer standards).
- Deep understanding of object-oriented programming, generic programming, and modern C++ design principles.
- Software Design & Architecture (Level 5)
- Extensive experience designing scalable, maintainable, and high-performance software systems.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture patterns, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
- Algorithms & Data Structures (Level 5)
- In-depth understanding of algorithms, computational complexity, memory management, and data structures.
- Ability to optimize applications for performance and resource efficiency.
- Experience with multithreading, concurrency, synchronization, and low-level system programming.
- Strong understanding of memory management, debugging, and performance tuning.
- Development Tools & Automation (Level 5)
- Proficiency with Git and modern source control workflows.
- Experience with build systems such as CMake, Bazel, or Make.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
- Debugging & Problem Solving (Level 5)
- Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience identifying and resolving complex production issues.
- Leadership & Communication (Level 5)
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and influence engineering decisions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business-oriented recommendations.
