Job Description
Hogsalt is looking for a dedicated and experienced full time Senior Accountant (Salary Negotiable) to join our team!
As a Senior Accountant, you will lead month-end close activities, prepare and analyze financial statements, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of all general ledger activity. You will partner cross-functionally with senior finance leadership to provide insights, support budgeting and forecasting, and drive informed decision-making. You will also strengthen financial controls, oversee reconciliations and compliance requirements, and proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce risk.

Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 - 4 years of experience as an Accountant
- Hospitality experience preferred
- Must have muli-entity experience
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead analysis and reporting of liability and equity accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness during the month-end close process.
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including balance sheet reconciliations and income statement analysis, providing insights into current and projected financial performance.
- Partner with senior finance leadership to support financial reporting, strategic planning, and ad hoc analysis.
- Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and performance tracking.
- Prepare and review journal entries and maintain the integrity of general ledger accounts in accordance with GAAP.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to translate financial data into actionable insights for business stakeholders.
- Lead and execute special projects, process improvements, and financial initiatives.
- Perform bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and support internal controls to mitigate financial risk.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable tax regulations, including preparation and filing of indirect tax returns.
- Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy and alignment across financial records.
- Review accounts payable activity to ensure proper coding, accuracy, and timely processing of invoices.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of recurring journal entries on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Maintain vendor records and compliance documentation to support accurate reporting requirements.
- Analyze contractual expenses and obligations to identify discrepancies, cost-saving opportunities, and potential overpayments.
