Job Description
The Group Senior Social Media specialist leads the day-to-day management and delivery of social media activity across all 14 hotels within the MHL Hotel Collection. This is a senior, hands-on role responsible for managing the Group’s social media presence across multiple hotel brands and social platforms, leading the social media team, coordinating activity with hotel stakeholders and ensuring that social content creation, campaigns, community management and reporting are delivered to a consistently high standard.
The MHL Hotel Collection is a collection of unique and individual hotels in key city and resort locations throughout Ireland. From the bustling city centres of Dublin, Galway, Limerick and Belfast to picturesque and historic estates close to Wicklow and Galway City, each of our hotels has its own distinct personality and charm.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver the social media strategy across MHL Hotel Collection’s portfolio of 14 hotels.
- Manage day-to-day social media activity, ensuring content is engaging, on-brand, and aligned with commercial objectives.
- Oversee content planning, campaign delivery, community management, and paid social advertising across multiple platforms.
- Analyse campaign and channel performance, providing insights and recommendations to optimise results.
- Produce monthly performance reports and dashboards using social media reporting tools.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging platform opportunities.
- Lead, coach, and support the Social Media Team, ensuring high standards and effective collaboration with hotel and group stakeholders.
- Identify and implement new ideas, tools, and processes to drive continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience in social media and content marketing, ideally within hospitality, travel, lifestyle, or a multi-brand environment.
- Proven experience managing multiple social media accounts, campaigns, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of organic and paid social media, including Meta Ads Manager and major social platforms.
- Experience with social media management and reporting tools such as Sprout Social or Brandwatch.
- Excellent analytical, reporting, copywriting, and proofreading skills.
- Strong organisational and project management abilities with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with proven leadership and stakeholder management experience.
- Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
