At Hays, we are partnering with a leading international company seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Consultant to join a strategic project. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in backend development, event-driven architectures, cloud technologies, and data integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and services.
• Build and optimize real-time data processing solutions using Kafka Streams and DMS Streaming.
• Develop high-quality microservices using Java Spring Boot.
• Integrate applications and third-party systems through APIs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
• Contribute to cloud-native solutions hosted on AWS.
• Support data analytics and reporting initiatives involving Databricks and Power BI.
• Ensure best practices in version control, containerization, and deployment processes.

Mandatory Requirements

Candidates must meet all the following requirements and have proven hands-on experience:

• Strong experience with DMS Streaming and Kafka Streams.
• Solid development experience with Java Spring Boot.
• Experience integrating and consuming APIs.
• Experience working with AWS cloud environments.
• Knowledge of Databricks and Power BI.
• Experience with GitHub and Docker.
• Kafka Certification (mandatory).
• Professional level of English.

Nice to Have

• Experience with scheduling and workload automation tools, particularly Control-M.
