Job Description

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a full-time experienced IT Network Support Administrator to manage and support our clients' network environment and day-to-day IT infrastructure. This role will play a key part in keeping systems running smoothly, resolving technical issues, and supporting the ongoing stability and security of the business’ network operations.


Key Responsibilities:


In this role, you will:



  • Maintain and support the organisation’s network environment, including servers, routers, switches and associated systems

  • Monitor system performance and respond to network or connectivity issues in a timely manner

  • Troubleshoot faults and outages, identifying root causes and implementing practical solutions

  • Manage user access, permissions and system configurations in line with internal policies

  • Assist with system updates, upgrades and routine maintenance to ensure network security and reliability

  • Keep accurate records of network configurations, assets and changes

  • Work with external IT providers or vendors where required to support system improvements or issue resolution

  • Provide support to internal users on network-related issues and assist with general IT queries


Qualifications, Skills & Experience



  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; or

  • At least 5 years' practical experience and/or relevant industry certifications demonstrating capability in network administration and support

  • Proven experience in network administration, IT support, or a similar infrastructure-focused role

  • Strong understanding of network environments, including configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting

  • Experience supporting users and resolving system or connectivity issues

  • Sound understanding of system security, access control and data protection practices

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation

  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing tasks

  • Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users

  • Relevant certifications (e.g. Cisco, CompTIA, Microsoft or similar)

  • Exposure to cloud-based or hybrid environments

  • Experience working in a small-to-medium business IT environment or with external IT providers


Salary:$90,000 - $110,000 per annum (excluding superannuation)
