The Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic, capable and passionate Grade 5/6 Teacher for an immediate start. In this full-time role, you will guide students through a democratic, inquiry-based curriculum while integrating nature-based learning and hands-on experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Connect authentically with the students, families and the broader school community.
  • Deliver engaging, multimodal, and hands-on learning experiences.
  • Differentiate teaching for students with diverse learning and social needs.
  • Plan a rich curriculum experience for your class with team support.
  • Maintain a child-safe environment in alignment with state standards and school policy.
  • Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration.
  • Full working rights in Australia.
  • Relevant tertiary teaching qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience or strong understanding of differentiating for additional learning needs.
  • Proven ability to build strong rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Experience or strong interest in alternative, democratic, or inquiry-based education.
  • Background in delivering nature-based or outdoor learning programs.
