Risk Developer

We are a successful multi-strategy hedge fund managing $16.0bn in firm AUM on behalf of our clients. We are looking for a Technologist to join our Risk Tech team and play a critical role in building a world class platform to support our Risk team. You will be part of the dynamic and collaborative risk tech team, working on Front Office Risk Management tooling including build out and automation of risk simulations and portfolio analysis, amongst many other exciting projects to develop critical aspects of the Risk system. This role will be directly supporting and working alongside Risk Managers and the Chief Risk Officer.

It will also include exposure to many functions within LMR as Risk work with almost every part of the firm.

As a multi-strat fund, we trade nearly every asset class: fixed income, credit, volatility, FX, commodities, and equities, including derivatives. You don't need to know details of the all the products LMR trade, but you should be curious and willing to learn - this role will give you plenty of scope to learn more about financial instruments and associated risks.

What we work with

We have a diverse technology stack including Java, TS/React, Python, Kafka, SQL Server, Clickhouse and AWS. We frequently develop new tools as the business grows so we look for candidates who have the confidence to suggest new technologies/methodologies where appropriate.

What kind of things you could be working on

• Develop new and extend existing Risk Technology capabilities for risk managers.
• Contribute to the strategic development of the Risk Technology platform
• Enhance tooling with AI capabilities.
• Develop bespoke calculations for Risk Managers
• Improve and support existing analytics
• Support Investor and Regulatory Reporting

Essential skills

• Python knowledge and experience would be a benefit
• SQL/RDBMS experience
• Being independent and self-driven
• Curiosity and a desire to learn
• Bachelor's (or equivalent) Degree in Science or similar discipline

Useful

• Experience/knowledge of market risk preferred but not essential
• Demonstrated use of AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, etc.) in a professional context

Office:

This role will be onsite in our Dublin office, which has been recently renovated. Located in Ballsbridge on the top floor, with a stunning wraparound terrace overlooking the sea, mountains and the famous Aviva stadium. This office is home to several key internal stakeholders, including but not limited to our Fixed Income CIO and CRO, as well as other key Portfolio Managers + business colleagues.
