Contract Lab Technologist

Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Contract Lab Technologist in the Oil and Gas Sector in Calgary, Alberta. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests, analyzing results, and ensuring the quality and compliance of our products.

Total rewards:$28.00 - $34.00 hourlyTravel: Fly-In, Fly-Out Flight Hubs are out of Calgary or EdmontonShift work: 7/7, 11.43 hours per day. Thursday – Wednesday Day shift only12 Months of contract position

A typical day:

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests on samples.
• Analyze and interpret test results, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Document and maintain accurate records of test results and procedures.
• Assist in the development and validation of new laboratory methods and procedures.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient laboratory operations.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory processes.

Successful candidates will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field.
• Diploma in Chemical Laboratory Technology.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a laboratory setting.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and equipment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in performing tests and recording results.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations.
