Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Soil Technician or Soil Technician to join our team. This entry-level position is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in the geotechnical and construction material testing industry. As a Trainee Soil Technician or Soil Technician, you will receive hands‑on training and mentorship from experienced professionals, gaining valuable skills in soil sampling, testing, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with soil sampling and concrete testing in both field and laboratory environments.
• Conduct basic laboratory tests on soil, aggregate, and other construction materials.
• Accurately record and report test results.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized work environment.
• Support senior technicians and engineers in various tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school certificate or equivalent.
• Certificate 3 in Construction Materials Testing (preferable)or willing to obtain.
• Strong interest in geotechnics, construction, or related fields.
• Basic understanding of mathematics and science.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Physical ability to perform fieldwork, including lifting and carrying equipment.
• Valid manual driver’s license (must have).
