About the Role

The Sales Analyst is responsible for supporting the Omoda Jaecoo Sales Department through accurate reporting, data analysis, sales performance tracking, and actionable commercial insights.

This role plays a critical part in helping the business monitor sales performance, identify opportunities, improve dealer performance, support forecasting, and enable data-led decision-making across the national sales operation.

The Sales Analyst will work closely with Sales, Network Development, Marketing, Aftersales, Finance and Supply Chain departments as well as the Dealer Network to ensure timely and accurate reporting of key sales metrics, market trends, campaign performance, stock movements and dealer activity.

Job tasks & key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Reporting & Performance Analysis: Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and ad hoc sales reports, tracking national, regional, dealer and model-level performance across orders, retail sales, wholesale, deliveries, cancellations, pipeline movement, conversion rates and achievement against targets.
  • Dealer Performance Insights: Analyse dealer performance by region, territory, model, powertrain, variant and buyer type, identifying high-performing and underperforming dealers, key performance drivers, and opportunities to support Regional Sales Managers with actionable insights.
  • Forecasting & Planning Support: Support sales forecasting, volume planning, target-setting and demand planning by analysing order intake, stock availability, sales run-rate, pipeline health, market trends and potential risks to target achievement.
  • Dashboard & Data Management: Build, maintain and improve sales dashboards, databases and reporting tools using Excel, Power BI, SharePoint and other platforms, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, automation and clear visibility of key sales metrics.
  • Campaign & Incentive Analysis: Track and evaluate the performance of retail campaigns, dealer incentives, tactical offers and sales programs, including analysis by dealer, region, model and customer segment to support post-campaign reviews and future campaign planning.
  • Market & Competitor Analysis: Monitor competitor activity, market share trends, segment performance, pricing movements and industry sales data, including VFACTS, to provide insights into customer demand, buyer trends and market opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Business Support: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Network Development and Aftersales to provide reporting, analysis and insights that support executive decision-making, dealer management, commercial planning and OEM/headquarters reporting.
  • Support the development of modern business intelligence tools and dashboards (e.g. Power BI or equivalent)
  • Transform manual, spreadsheet-driven processes into automated and scalable solutions
  • Develop a "single source of truth" for sales, dealer, and performance data
  • Translate business needs into reporting, analytics, and decision-support tools
  • Liaise with IT and external vendors where required to deliver system enhancements
  • Provide ongoing identification of efficiency gains and process improvements

About You

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Experience in a sales analyst, business analyst, commercial analyst or reporting role.
  • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, charts and data modelling.
  • Experience building reports, dashboards and performance trackers.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Ability to interpret data and translate it into clear business insights.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across different departments.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines.

Preferred but not essential:

  • Experience in the automotive industry, preferably with an OEM, distributor or dealer group.
  • Experience using Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
  • Understanding of automotive sales metrics including retail sales, wholesale, order bank, dealer targets, pipeline, market share and VFACTS.
  • Experience with CRM, lead management, stock management or dealer reporting systems.
  • Knowledge of dealer network operations and regional sales structures.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Power BI or similar dashboard/reporting tools.
  • PowerPoint for management reporting and presentations.
  • Microsoft SharePoint, Teams and Power Automate experience desirable.
  • Strong data cleansing, validation and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work with large datasets from multiple sources.
