Location: Remote (GMT+1 time zone desirable).

We are seeking a Business Operations Manager to join our dynamic, rapidly growing, and innovative organisation.

RELP is an impact-driven, independent nonprofit organisation that aims to facilitate the cheaper and faster deployment of renewable energy in emerging and developing countries. We aspire to increase reliable, affordable and sustainable energy, thereby mitigating climate change. The primary objective for this role is to act as a strategic advisor and catalyst for the Managing Director of Financial Instruments, maintaining high-quality delivery, internal synergy, and the efficient pursuit of the fund’s objectives. You will be an ideal fit if you possess the ability to convert sophisticated de-risking and blended finance concepts into operational roadmaps, build strong relationships with MDBs and DFIs, and apply superior organizational oversight to meet critical investment targets.

How you will contribute:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the MD on strategic, operational, and people-related matters impacting the fund.
  • Manage the MD’s strategic agenda, priorities, and follow-ups on critical actions, ensuring optimal time allocation.
  • Prepare high-level executive documentation, including strategic presentations, investment committee briefings, and speeches tailored for AllianzGI and EIB leadership.
  • Represent the MD when required in internal communications or alignment meetings.
  • Drive and monitor progress on key fund priorities, ensuring strict adherence to fundraising, deployment, and operational timelines.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings and decision-making processes to dismantle silos and proactively remove operational blockers.
  • Optimize internal workflows, processes, and management systems to enhance organizational capacity and efficiency.
  • Lead the fund’s Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) efforts to track development outcomes and climate impact metrics across portfolio funds.
  • Implement and monitor KPIs to evaluate fund performance, deployment velocities, and organizational health.
  • Lead special projects and high-priority initiatives that expand the fund's capacity or accelerate capital mobilization.


What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Public Policy, International Relations, Organizational Development, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in strategic, advisory, or operational roles (Chief of Staff, Strategy, Consulting, PMO, or Senior Project Management).
  • Proficiency english
  • Experience in nonprofit, social impact, energy, or international organizations is an advantage.
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate ideas into actionable plans.
  • Exceptional communication—written, verbal, and executive-level presentations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, prioritization, and analytical skills.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and ability to build trust with diverse stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and proactive.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Collaborative leadership style.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • “No task too big, no task too small” mindset.
