Job Title: Business Analyst (wealth management)
Location: Toronto, ON (hybrid)
Duration: 6 months to start (Possibility of extension)
Rate: CAD50-CAD55/hr
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong Wealth Management domain expertise to support business transformation, technology initiatives, and process improvement programs. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, delivery teams, and technology partners to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and deliver solutions that support wealth management operations and client servicing.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working in SAFe Agile environments, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to translate complex business needs into clear functional requirements and user stories.
What You Need to Do
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
- Work with product owners, architects, developers, and QA teams to translate business needs into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Analyze current-state processes and identify opportunities for process optimization and operational improvements.
- Support the delivery of Wealth Management initiatives across advisory, investment, portfolio management, client onboarding, and servicing functions.
- Facilitate workshops, requirements gathering sessions, and stakeholder meetings.
- Manage and maintain product backlogs, requirements documentation, process flows, and business artifacts.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Support testing activities including UAT planning, test case reviews, defect management, and business validation.
- Assist with change management, implementation planning, and post-production support activities.
- Identify project risks, dependencies, and issues, and work with stakeholders to mitigate them.
- Ensure delivered solutions align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and operational needs.
- Prepare status updates, business documentation, and executive-level summaries as required.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- 5+ years of Business Analysis experience within Banking or Financial Services environments.
- Strong Wealth Management domain knowledge with experience supporting wealth, investments, advisory, portfolio management, or private banking initiatives.
- Hands-on experience working in SAFe Agile environments.
- Strong experience gathering and documenting business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
- Experience creating user stories, process maps, workflows, business requirements documents, and acceptance criteria.
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and SDLC processes.
- Experience supporting UAT, defect management, and business validation activities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both business and technology teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and Agile project management tools is preferred.

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Business Analysis, Agile, SAFe, CBAP, or related certifications are considered an asset.
