About the job
The System Accountant is responsible for optimising the newly implemented ERP environment, with a core focus on Microsoft Dynamics. Acting as the bridge between Finance, Technology and operational stakeholders, the role is focused on improving process efficiency, data quality, reporting capability and financial controls while helping the business maximise value from its ERP investment.

Key accountabilities
- Act as the Finance subject matter expert for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, supporting effective use of finance modules, workflows, dimensions and reporting structures.
- Partner with Finance and Technology stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities and deliver system enhancements that improve efficiency, accuracy and user experience.
- Drive automation initiatives that reduce manual processing, spreadsheet dependency and rework across core finance activities.
- Strengthen financial controls, governance and data integrity through effective system configuration, approval workflows and master data management practices.
- Support the development of reporting capabilities and data integration across Dynamics, Power BI and other reporting tools.
- Provide guidance, support and change leadership to finance users, promoting adoption of standardised processes and maximising value from systems.
- Identify system, process and control risks and provide recommendations that support improved financial and system performance.

Qualification and Education Requirements
- Degree in Accounting
- ~5+ yrs of relevant accounting, finance systems or finance transformation experience.
- Current National Police Check and WWCC
- Hands on experience with Dynamics in an implementation or maturing systems environment highly regarded
