About the Role
We have an opportunity for an Accountant to join our Group Finance Reporting team and support the delivery of high-quality, timely and accurate Group financial reporting, analysis and insights.
Supporting Group consolidated reporting processes, you'll partner with operating companies and Group teams to ensure consistent reporting standards, strong financial governance and continuous improvement across reporting, data quality and controls.
You’ll also contribute to quarterly Board reporting, statutory reporting and reporting to CIMIC's parent company, HOCHTIEF.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare month-end and quarter-end consolidations, including cash flow reporting, analysis and commentary
- Review reporting submissions from operating companies and assess key financial drivers and accounting treatments
- Support quarterly reporting requirements to CIMIC's parent company, HOCHTIEF
- Contribute to quarterly performance reporting for senior management and Board stakeholders
- Assist in the preparation of semi-annual IFRS financial statements
- Support external audit processes, including preparation of accounting papers and supporting documentation
- Contribute to reporting improvements, automation initiatives and data quality enhancements through OneStream
- Build and maintain strong relationships with operating company finance teams to support consistent reporting standards and outcomes
- Partner with Treasury, Tax and FP&A Finance teams to support reporting and analysis activities
About You
- Experience within Audit, Financial Reporting or Group Finance environments
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, consolidation principles and accounting standards
- Experience working within large, complex or multi-entity organisations
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline
- Ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholder groups
- Comfortable working in a deadline-driven reporting environment
- Curious by nature, with an interest in understanding the commercial drivers behind financial performance
