At CTS, we’re passionate about building strong customer relationships and delivering smart, technical solutions. We’re looking for an External Sales Engineer to help grow our business across the North West by supporting both new and existing customers and contributing to our wider business goals.
You’ll be responsible for managing and developing your own sales territory, balancing customer engagement with strategic planning to deliver sustainable growth. Your responsibilities will include:
Planning and prioritising your sales activities to achieve agreed targets, while managing your time and workload effectivelyPreparing customer proposals, including pricing and commercial considerationsGenerating proposals for renewing, extending, or adapting existing contractsConducting site surveys and providing technical advice to customers and prospectsBuilding and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with customers at all levelsEnsuring an excellent standard of after-sales serviceAccurately recording customer visits, actions, and outcomes, and contributing to sales performance analysisDelivering customer presentations to support sales and enhance the CTS brandCollaborating with colleagues across CTS and the wider group to coordinate activities and secure opportunitiesMonitoring activity and providing clear, timely updates to managementAttending sales meetings and following up on agreed actionsTo succeed, you will need

Proven experience in a sales or customer-facing roleA technical background or qualification is beneficial, but not essential, if you bring strong sales experience, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn, we’ll support your technical developmentExperience or knowledge of the compressed air industry is desirable, but not requiredA full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across the North West, with occasional travel to other UK locationsStrong IT skills and an openness to learning new systemsExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage your time effectivelyIn return, we offer
