The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Newly Qualified Commercial Property Solicitor to join the commercial property team of a well-established and highly regarded law firm in Belfast.

This is an ideal opportunity for an NQ solicitor who is serious about building a long-term career in commercial property and wants to join a team where they can gain high-quality experience, work on interesting transactions and learn from experienced practitioners.

You will have the opportunity to work across a broad range of commercial property matters, developing your technical expertise and commercial awareness while gradually taking on greater responsibility for your own work and client relationships.

The role would suit an NQ who has completed a commercial property seat during their training contract and is keen to continue specialising in this area.

The Role

As part of the commercial property team, you will be involved in a varied caseload and will have exposure to matters including:

• Commercial property acquisitions and disposals.
• Commercial leases and landlord and tenant matters.
• Property development transactions.
• Investment and development property.
• Property finance and related security matters.
• Acting for both landlords and tenants.
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial property documentation.
• Property due diligence.
• Advising clients on a range of general commercial property matters.
• Working alongside colleagues across other practice areas where matters have wider commercial, construction or corporate elements.
• Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Supporting senior solicitors and partners on more complex transactions.

The role offers genuine variety and will allow you to develop a strong foundation across the key areas of commercial property law.

As your experience develops, you will have the opportunity to take increasing responsibility for matters and clients, with the support and guidance of experienced members of the team.

About You

We are looking for a Newly Qualified Solicitor who is enthusiastic about developing a career in commercial property.
You will ideally have:

• Recently qualified as a solicitor in Northern Ireland, or be due to qualify shortly.
• Completed a commercial property seat during your training contract.
• A genuine interest in pursuing a career in commercial property.
• Strong drafting, analytical and organisational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A practical and commercially focused approach.
• The enthusiasm and ambition to develop within a busy commercial legal environment.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.

You do not need to have experience across every area of commercial property. The key requirement is a strong foundation in commercial property and a genuine desire to develop your career in this area.
