Seismic Engineer

Total Engineering and Mining Supplies Pty Ltd – Yatala QLD

We are seeking an experienced Seismic Engineer to join our close-knit team in Yatala on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and specification of seismic bracing and restraint systems for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) services, working in accordance with Australian Standard AS 1170.4. You will engage directly with contractors and project teams across the commercial construction, mining, oil and gas, and water industries, providing technically sound solutions that meet the rigorous demands of each project.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and specify seismic bracing and restraint systems for MEP services in accordance with AS 1170.4
• Develop duct riser designs and seismic engineering solutions for commercial and industrial projects
• Prepare technical documentation, drawings, and specifications for client submissions and project delivery
• Liaise with contractors, project managers, and site teams across commercial construction, mining, oil and gas, and water industries
• Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings to determine appropriate seismic solutions
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients and internal staff on seismic compliance requirements
• Contribute to product specifications and system recommendations aligned with client needs
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant Australian standards, codes, and client specifications
• Manage and prioritise multiple projects concurrently, meeting agreed timelines and quality standards
