Role Description The Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in New Delhi. The individual in this role will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including maintaining general ledgers, posting journal entries, and reconciling bank and account statements. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing invoices, processing payments and receipts, and monitoring accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
The Accountant will assist in preparing financial reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies. The role also involves coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders, maintaining organized financial records, and supporting audits and other financial reviews as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, journal entries, and account reconciliation.
- Must know financial software like Busy Accounting Software or Tally Prime / Tally.ERP 9 or Zoho Books / QuickBooks etc
- Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and basic financial analysis to support decision-making.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, GST tracking (filing), and payment processing.
- Comfort with accounting software and spreadsheets; familiarity with common ERP or finance tools is an advantage.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in working with figures, and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work on-site in New Delhi, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear documentation and stakeholder interaction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (such as CA/CPA or equivalent) are a plus.
- Prior experience in the media or entertainment industry is beneficial but not required.
