Job Description

Be Part of a New Beginning at Holiday Inn London Heathrow M4J4

This September 2026, Holiday Inn London Heathrow M4J4 reopens its doors—and we're building something special from the ground up.

This isn't just an opportunity to join a hotel; it's a chance to be part of a relaunch, shape a new culture, and create memorable experiences from day one. As we prepare to welcome guests back, we're looking for passionate hospitality professionals who thrive on energy, teamwork, and the excitement of a fresh start.

Be the Calm in the Quiet Hours

This September, Holiday Inn London Heathrow M4J4 begins an exciting new chapter as we reopen our doors following a major transformation. As the city sleeps and travellers arrive from around the world, we're looking for a Night Manager who can confidently take the lead and ensure every guest feels safe, valued, and cared for.

The night shift is about far more than overseeing operations. It's about creating reassurance, solving problems with confidence, supporting your team, and being the trusted face of the hotel when guests need you most. You'll lead from the front, make sound decisions under pressure, and ensure the hotel runs seamlessly while preparing the stage for the day ahead.

If you thrive on responsibility, enjoy working autonomously, and take pride in creating a sense of safety and belonging for both guests and colleagues, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

What You'll Be Doing

As Night Manager, you'll be the most senior leader on property overnight, taking ownership of the entire guest experience and hotel operation.
You'll:

  • Lead, motivate, and support the night team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

  • Oversee all overnight hotel operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

  • Respond to guest queries and challenges with empathy, professionalism, and confidence.

  • Act as the key decision-maker during overnight incidents and emergencies.

  • Complete nightly audits and reports, ensuring accuracy for the leadership team.

  • Maintain the highest standards of safety, security, compliance, and cash handling.

  • Coordinate with maintenance, housekeeping, and operational teams to resolve issues quickly.

  • Deliver effective handovers that keep communication flowing between departments.

  • Coach and develop team members, helping them grow in confidence and capability.

  • Maintain detailed records of overnight activity and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.

  • Our enviable employee discounts on bedroom rates across the LGH hotel portfolio.

  • Access to the IHG employee room benefit programme across their global portfolio. (T&Cs apply).

  • Shopping discounts - ranging from groceries, fashion, travel, utilities, days out, and even holidays.

  • Eye care

  • Free legal & money advice

  • Counseling sessions

  • Cycle to work scheme

  • Wellbeing tips and support fitness videos

  • Recipe ideas

  • Advice on keeping active and healthy living

  • Wellbeing podcasts and tv

  • Breathing exercises

  • 24/7 advice and support line

  • Team reward & recognition

  • Free meals on duty

  • Free parking

What We're Looking For

We know great Night Managers come from different backgrounds, so we're more interested in the person than a perfect CV. That said, you'll ideally bring:

  • Previous experience in a hotel supervisory or management role, such as Night Manager, Night Supervisor, Front Office Manager, Duty Manager, or Assistant Front Office Manager.

  • A strong understanding of hotel operations, including front office procedures, guest services, night audit processes, and health & safety requirements.

  • Experience leading, motivating, and developing teams, particularly during out-of-hours operations.

  • Confidence in handling guest complaints and resolving issues calmly and professionally.

  • The ability to make sound decisions independently and remain composed in challenging situations.

  • Experience working with hotel PMS systems and completing financial or night audit processes would be advantageous.

  • A good understanding of security procedures, emergency response protocols, and operational compliance.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build trust and confidence with guests, colleagues, and senior leaders alike.
