About the role

You will manage a team of 4 to 6 engineers focused on integrating our design platform into major AI ecosystems. This is a hands-on leadership position where you will contribute to the codebase while guiding technical strategy and mentoring your team.

What you'll do

• Manage and mentor a team of 4 to 6 engineers focused on API and MCP development.
• Write production code and participate in technical delivery alongside your team.
• Collaborate with product managers to define roadmaps and balance technical quality with speed.
• Build and maintain connectors for platforms including OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, Microsoft, and Amazon.
• Engage with external enterprise partners to refine integration quality and develop new capabilities.
• Influence technical strategy across the broader engineering organization.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading engineering teams of at least 4 people in a product-focused environment.
• Strong hands-on programming skills with experience in Java for backend microservices and TypeScript or React for frontend.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated product sense and understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
• Clear communication skills for working with internal teams, leadership, and external partners.
• Genuine interest in AI, LLMs, and the evolving landscape of developer tools.

Nice to have

• Experience developing or managing public APIs and developer platforms.
• Familiarity with the Model Context Protocol (MCP), AI agents, or LLM tool-use patterns.
• Background in technical integrations with external enterprise partners.
• Experience with AWS.
