Job Description

Here’s a brief overview of the tasks and responsibilities you’ll have :

  • Develop new components under the Episerver version 12 / Optimize solution;
  • Ensure the maintenance and evolution of existing components;
  • Design unit tests to support the integrity of developments;
  • Collaborate with team members on pair programming activities;
  • Keep the Episerver/Optimizely platform up to date;
  • Establish programming best practices within the solution;
  • Write clear and detailed technical and user documentation;
  • Use GitHub Copilot when relevant to optimize development and testing activities;
  • Develop Angular, HTML and SCSS components as part of the implementation of a Design System;
  • Work closely with UX/UI designers to create consistent, functional, and accessible components according to WCAG standards;
  • Participate in developing communities of practice.

The profile you are looking for is as follows:

  • Have experience in development with Episerver, ideally with version 12;
  • Have five to seven (7) years of experience as a Full Stack developer;
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, software engineering or equivalent experience;
  • Be proficient in software development and JavaScript programming;
  • Know build tools such as Gulp, NodeJS, and YAML;
  • Proficiency in Front-End technologies such as HTML, SCSS, JavaScript and TypeScript;
  • Experience in web accessibility and HTML best practices;
  • Apply software engineering approaches such as TDD, Pair Programming, CI/CD, Release Pipeline, and Azure DevOps;
  • Know the CMS Episerver / Optimizely;
  • Master the Angular framework;
  • Have experience with GitHub Copilot;
  • Understand microservices-based applications, design principles, and deployment models (an asset);
  • Experience in setting up a Design System;
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills;
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to adapt to a changing environment;
  • Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Have a working knowledge of various aspects of the computer and web domain;
  • This position requires fluency in French and English for daily tasks, understanding documentation, and professional communication with customers, suppliers, and colleagues across Canada. French and English language skills are essential, both oral and written.
