TeacherActive is excited to be recruiting enthusiastic graduates to join our fantastic team as a Graduate Teaching Assistant from September 2026. We work with a wide range of welcoming and supportive primary schools across Newham, giving you the opportunity to gain invaluable classroom experience while making a genuine impact on children's learning.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you'll support pupils both in and out of the classroom, work alongside experienced teachers, encourage children's confidence and learning, and become an important part of the wider school community. Every day brings something different, allowing you to gain practical experience while developing transferable skills that will benefit your future career.
The successful Graduate Teaching Assistant will have:
- A university degree (any subject welcomed)
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, enthusiastic and positive attitude
- The confidence to work as part of a team and use your own initiative
- A willingness to learn from experienced education professionals
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable, or a willingness to apply for one
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
