Job Description
- 12-month contract with 2 x 12-month extension options.
- Hybrid working arrangement based in Canberra, ACT.
Our client is a Federal Government organisation , who are seeking Principal Java/Bespoke Software Engineers (Developers) to join their team in Canberra, ACT.
Role Summary
You will support, maintain and enhance a mission-critical application, developing enterprise Java solutions, cloud integrations and backend services while working within a highly skilled Agile development team.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain enterprise Java applications and backend services.
Design and implement solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Oracle and AWS technologies.
Develop REST/SOAP APIs, maintain React-based web interfaces, and support CI/CD pipelines and software releases.
Selection Criteria:
Minimum 8 years' experience in enterprise Java development with Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate and Oracle databases.
Strong experience with AWS services, REST/SOAP APIs, ReactJS, Git, Jenkins, Maven and Linux.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within an Agile development environment.
Baseline Security Clearance.
On offer is a 12-month contract based in Canberra (Hybrid) , with up to 2 x 12-month extension options and a highly competitive hourly rate.
