The Role
We are seeking an Analyst – Strategy & New Markets to lead market and strategy engagements in clean fuels and decarbonization.
You will work alongside the leadership of industrial and energy companies, investors, utilities and multilateral institutions on questions such as how fuel markets will evolve over the long term, which decarbonization routes make economic sense, and how to structure and enter a new business.
This is a role combining:
- Market intelligence and long-term outlooks
- Strategy and business model structuring
- Regulatory and commercial analysis
- Senior client interaction
Key Responsibilities
Market & Strategy
- Build market views and long-term outlooks for supply, demand and prices across clean fuels and adjacent energy inputs
- Map value chains, players and competitive dynamics, including international benchmarks
- Structure business cases, market-entry theses and business models, with scenarios and sensitivity analysis
- Assess the regulatory and policy environment and translate it into commercial implications
Client Management
- Lead workstreams end to end, from problem framing to final deliverable
- Present to client leadership, investment committees and multilateral teams
- Design and deliver workshops and training sessions
- Manage multiple parallel engagements and deadlines
Profile
- Hypothesis-driven and structured problem solver
- Strong quantitative skills
- Structured communicator, able to build a clear storyline and present complex analyses to senior audiences
- High level of ownership and accountability
- Motivated by the energy transition and impact-driven work
Requirements
3+ years of experience in:
- Strategy
- Commodity, energy or equity research
- Corporate strategy, market intelligence or business development in energy, fuels or agribusiness
Additional requirements:
- Solid knowledge of the clean fuels chain
- Experience building market projections or long-term outlooks
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Business, Agronomy or related fields
- Excel and PowerPoint skills (mandatory)
- Fluent English (mandatory)
- Full-time availability with exclusivity
- Availability to work primarily remote (home office)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience at clean fuels sector
- Working knowledge of the Brazilian power sector
- Familiarity with carbon markets and carbon accounting
- Experience with hard-to-abate sectors
