Seventh-day Adventist Schools (Victoria) Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic Secondary Teacher, teaching Business/Legal for Year 12 to join the team at Gilson College, Taylors Hill.
This is an ongoing full time position, expected to the experienced educators with leadership experience within a school or college setting, commencement Term 3, 2026.
The successful candidate will demonstrate that they:
- Plan, prepare and teach programs to achieve specific student outcomes
- Use critical reflection to improve the knowledge, learning and skills of students
- Have experience and ability to work independently and as a leader within a team, developing, establishing, implementing, and monitoring learning and curriculum.
- Have experience and ability to provide mentoring and guidance to peers.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and prior experience in a similar leadership role.
- Use multiple sources of feedback on their classroom practice to inform their professional learning goals
- Show a willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues to improve teaching and learning within the school and the wider Seventh-day Adventist school system
- Can support and actively promote, and not undermine, the Christian-based values and ethos of the College based on the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
- Have the capacity to teach the Australian curriculum in the context of the College's Christian-based ethos
- Can plan for and lead daily Christian-based class devotions to students

Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid VIT Registration and relevant teaching experience
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and prior experience in a similar leadership role.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective organisational and project management capabilities.

The salary range is $86k-128k based on years of experience.
