Project Principal Manager

Responsibilities

As a Project Principal Manager, you will:

• Direct and coordinate work of single or multidisciplinary teams throughout the project’s lifecycle (from development & initiation to close‑out).
• Supervise large project staffs and mentor less‑experienced Project Managers, focusing on project management skills development.
• Plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of large multidisciplinary projects, serving as a champion for cross business‑group pursuits and initiatives.
• Establish client relationships and engage in marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
• Serve as PIC, Project Sponsor, or Client Manager for select projects and clients.
• Be responsible for any project assignment regardless of market sector, business class, size, visibility, number of disciplines, technical complexity or number of staff.
• Produce and coordinate several concurrent projects.
• Conduct work sessions for deliverable development in collaboration with other staff and stakeholders.
• Partner with market‑sector and business‑class leadership to advance brand with regard to innovative technology and support staff engagement.
• Coordinate staffing and workload throughout the project life cycle, ensuring completion of deliverables on schedule.
• Track financial aspects of projects, adjusting work effort to remain within agreed‑to budget and schedule.
• Work with Accounting, Operational, and Business leadership for periodic project reviews.
• Implement QA/QC procedures.
• Perform other duties as needed, including workshare management.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP certification.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 15 years of related experience.
• Minimum 7 years of project management experience.
• Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position.
• MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience is a plus).
• Demonstrated leadership, business development, and strategic planning skills.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in an employee‑owned culture.
