Warehouse Assistant

As a Warehouse Assistant at Forty Winks, you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of our warehouse and retail stores. This part-time position with flexibility of days and hours is based in Knoxfield, Victoria and involves a range of warehouse duties including office administration, retail store support and customer service to ensure the smooth delivery of products to our customers.

What you’ll be doing

• Receive, unload, and put away incoming stock deliveries
• Pick and dispatch customer orders accurately and on time
• Maintain stock levels and assist with regular stock takes
• Warehouse office administration relating to incoming and outgoing stock, customer delivery communication, product service issues and retail store support
• Operate warehouse equipment (walkie stacker forklift and vertical lift EWP) safely and effectively
• Assist with general housekeeping and warehouse organisation
• Provide reliable and efficient support to the retail stores, including transferring of stock and retail store floor stock display rotations
• Limited number of small customer deliveries required using Forty Winks van

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
• Computer skills and office administration experience
• Forklift licence welcome but not mandatory (or willingness to obtain one)
• Current Australian Drivers Licence required for internal store and customer deliveries
• Must hold as a minimum current Class C (car) Australian driver's licence
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
• Professional and respectful manner when dealing with all stakeholders
• Physical fitness to perform manual handling duties
• Must have Australian work rights and be legally entitled to work in Australia
