Location: 41 Crowfoot Rise NW, Calgary, AB T3G 4P5

Salary: $36.00 per hour / full-time (30 hours per week)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Schedule and confirm appointments, patient scheduling, receive and communicate messages for dentists, dental care staff and management
  • Prepare and maintain confidential client medical information, records, reports, articles, case histories and correspondence in patient files
  • Responsible for overseeing all administrative activities of the office
  • Coordinate and organize appointments as well as patients flow to facilitate smooth running and support delivery of quality patient care
  • Collaborate with doctors and hygienists and other medical staff to help with dental examinations
  • Schedule tests as required with other dental care professionals
  • Obtain patients’ history and organize patients’ files, records and documents
  • Transcribe treatment notes, complete and process insurance forms and other claim forms
  • Manage receivables and payable accounts and maintain financial records and billing
  • Provide training to staff on new operational techniques and clinic’s policies
  • Maintain office supplies inventory and equipment and check stock
  • Coordinate the purchase and delivery of medical, office supplies and equipment with management to ensure the availability of equipment and supplies to provide quality patient services
  • Maintain the strictest confidentiality
  • Perform other administrative duties and establish office procedures as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in medical office administration
  • College diploma, degree or certificate
  • Proficiency in the use of computers and common applications like word processing and spreadsheets
  • Proficiency in dental practice management software (e.g., ABELSoft, MAX Assist) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Processing dental insurance claims, understanding dental codes, billing procedures, and handling patient payments
  • People skills and the ability to handle stress
  • Communicating clearly with patients, dentists, and hygienists; managing phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries with professionalism
  • Ability to remember large amounts of information and handle multiple tasks at once
  • Able to work with people of diverse backgroundsTeam player who can understanding the growth potential of our organization
