Job Role: PRT (Science)

Location: Sarjapura, Bangalore

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning

• Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons aligned with the curriculum and Kunskapsskolan's personalized learning philosophy.
• Develop age-appropriate, hands-on, inquiry-led learning experiences that encourage observation, experimentation, and critical thinking.
• Integrate cross-curricular connections and real-life applications into Science instruction.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of students.
• Foster curiosity, creativity, collaboration, and environmental awareness in the classroom.
• Use technology and digital resources to enhance learning experiences.

Student Development

• Monitor, assess, and document student progress through formative and summative assessments.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and parents to support continuous improvement.
• Encourage scientific inquiry, independent thinking, and reflective learning.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that promotes student wellbeing.

Planning & Administration

• Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, projects, assessments, and learning resources.
• Maintain student records, assessment data, and progress reports.
• Participate in curriculum planning, departmental meetings, and school initiatives.
• Ensure laboratory safety and the appropriate use of science materials and equipment.

School Engagement

• Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary learning experiences.
• Participate actively in school events, field trips, exhibitions, assemblies, and co-curricular programmes.
• Contribute to the implementation of Kunskapsskolan's coaching and mentoring culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Science (Physics/Chemistry/Biology/Life Sciences or related discipline).
• Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in Primary School.
• Experience in CBSE, Cambridge, or IB curriculum will be an advantage.
• CTET qualification will be preferred for CBSE positions.
