Position Overview
As a Customer Service Representative specializing in freight forwarding security, you will be the frontline ambassador for Brinks Australia. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth and secure transportation of goods, providing exceptional service to our valued clients every step of the way. From coordinating shipments to addressing inquiries and resolving issues, you will play a pivotal role in upholding our reputation for excellence.
- Co-ordination of high value transportation, including imports, exports and domestic movements
- Prepare and submit documentation for import and export declarations, ensuring compliance with customs laws and company procedures.
- Liaise with customs brokers, ABF, clients, and internal stakeholders to resolve classification, valuation, or clearance issues.
- Maintain effective and responsive communication with Brinks depots, Branches and affiliates, both domestically and internationally
- Identify and record any quality problems, and initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
- Handle all customer enquiries promptly, courteously and professionally, referring them to the DJS Business Development Manager or Operations Manager as appropriate.
- Co-ordinate all aspects of the secure transportation of valuables in strict accordance with Brinks Operating Procedures
- Report to Operations Manager any instances of circumstances where Brinks Operating Procedures are not adhered to
- Ensure details of each shipment are obtained and recorded accurately in the appropriate systems, and maintain all documentation in shipment file
- Co-ordinate with Airlines, Cargo Handlers, and Customs to expedite transportation and clearance of consignments
- Co-ordinate Air Cargo Automation requirements to expedite timely clearance and delivery on inbound shipments
About you
- Ability to acquire and maintain relevant industry training such as dangerous goods and AACA qualifications in first 6 months
- Cargowise knowledge is highly desirable
- Experience with secure or sensitive cargo handling is highly advantageous
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook and SharePoint are desirable
- Desire to grow and develop within the organization
- Highly organized and process oriented
- Obtain competence on in-house systems.
- Strategic thinking, data analysis skills, technology proficiency, strong communication abilities, strong compliance focus, data analysis, teamwork, attention to detail.
Mobility to Perform Role
Office based 5 days a week with WFH after training and probation period is complete.
