The Opportunity:

Our Sign, Display & Digital department, dedicated to creating impactful visual solutions for our clients is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Field Technician to join our dynamic team. If you have a passion for technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and enjoy hands‑on work in diverse settings, we want to hear from you.We currently have a full‑time position available within our friendly and dedicated Sign, Display & Digital team based in Brendale, QLD.

What You’ll Be Doing

Reporting directly to the National Service Manager – Equipment & Service – Sign, Display & Digital, your responsibilities will include:

• Install, commission, service, maintain and repair a range of digital print, finishing and production equipment.
• Install, maintain and troubleshoot CNC Router and Laser Cutter equipment, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and electronic faults on a variety of equipment.
• Install, configure and support associated software and workflow solutions.
• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.
• Work collaboratively with the Service Coordinator, OEM partners and vendors to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
• Provide technical support and training to customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Complete service documentation accurately and promptly.
• Participate in OEM certification programs and ongoing technical training to maintain product knowledge.

You will ideally be someone who has:

• Relevant Electrical or Mechanical trade qualifications, or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment.
• Experience installing and servicing wide-format printers, CNC routers, laser cutting equipment or similar industrial machinery.
• Basic understanding of electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of wide-format printing applications and associated consumables is highly regarded.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Effective time management and organisational skills.
• A customer-focused approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a collaborative team.
• A current Australian Driver Licence and willingness to travel as required.
• Extensive training will be provided to the successful candidate, along with support and guidance in responding to customer enquiries and special requirements.
• Experience within the paper, packaging and printing industry would be advantageous.
