Job Description

Warehouse Team Member (Furniture Trade Warehouse)

Warehouse Team Member (Furniture Trade Warehouse)

Uniqwa Collections

Ashmore, Gold Coast QLD

Full Time

$65,000–75,000 + Super (depending on experience)

Join a team where your work actually matters.

At Uniqwa Collections, we don't manufacture mass produced furniture. We source and curate handcrafted furniture from around the world for Australia's leading interior designers, architects and premium retailers.

Every piece that leaves our warehouse represents our brand.

That's why we're looking for someone who takes pride in doing things properly.

We're not simply looking for another warehouse employee. We're looking for someone who is dependable, proactive and genuinely wants to make a positive contribution to a small team that cares about quality.

If you're the sort of person who notices something that needs doing and gets on with it, enjoys solving problems and takes satisfaction in a well run warehouse, we'd like to meet you.

The Role

This is a hands on warehouse position involving the movement, preparation and care of premium furniture and homewares.

Your day may include:

  • Receiving imported furniture and unloading shipping containers
  • Loading delivery vehicles and freight carriers safely and efficiently
  • Picking, packing and preparing customer orders
  • Handling bulky furniture using safe manual handling practices
  • Organising warehouse stock and maintaining an efficient workspace
  • Carrying out quality inspections on handcrafted furniture
  • Identifying product issues and helping find practical solutions
  • Assisting with local deliveries when required
  • Working closely with a supportive team to continually improve how we operate

No two days are exactly the same, and everyone is prepared to roll up their sleeves and help wherever needed.

What We're Looking For

You’ll be someone who:

  • Has previous warehouse experience, preferably with bulky goods or furniture
  • Is physically fit and comfortable with repetitive manual handling
  • Is reliable, punctual and takes responsibility for their work
  • Has a strong work ethic and takes pride in doing a job properly
  • Thinks ahead rather than waiting to be told what to do
  • Communicates well and works respectfully with others
  • Enjoys contributing ideas that improve efficiency, safety and quality
  • Holds a current driver's licence

Experience in furniture, cabinetry, joinery, upholstery, timber products or quality control would be highly regarded but isn't essential.

Why You’ll Enjoy Working Here

We’re a close knit team where people genuinely support each other.

Your ideas won’t disappear into layers of management. If you identify a better way to do something, we’ll listen.

You’ll have the opportunity to build new skills, develop your understanding of furniture quality and craftsmanship, and grow into greater responsibilities over time, including Quality Control for the right person.

Most importantly, you’ll be joining a business that values people who care about their work and take pride in doing it well.

This role is best suited to someone looking for a long term career rather than just their next job.
