TEKsystems is looking for a Business Analyst to support a Federal Client in delivering ICT-enabled projects and business transformation initiatives. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, project teams, solution architects, and technical specialists to identify business needs, define requirements, and support the successful delivery of technology solutions. The Business Analyst will play a key role across discovery, design, delivery, testing, and implementation phases while ensuring business outcomes are clearly defined and achieved.

Responsibilities: Lead and support discovery activities to understand business needs and operational drivers.
- Elicit, analyse, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and stakeholder consultation sessions.
- Define and document business problems, objectives, benefits, and success measures.
- Undertake current-state analysis and contribute to future-state design activities.
- Analyse business processes, systems, data flows, user journeys, and service interactions.
- Identify gaps, risks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support prioritisation of requirements, backlog items, features, and delivery activities.
- Produce clear, concise, and accurate business analysis documentation.
- Maintain traceability between business requirements, design decisions, testing activities, and delivered outcomes.
- Support the refinement and management of product backlogs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Ensure requirements are measurable, testable, and aligned to business outcomes.
- Contribute to requirements validation, sign-off, and change control processes.
- Develop process maps, workflow diagrams, customer journey maps, and system interaction diagrams.
- Collaborate with architects, technical teams, and delivery stakeholders to assess and recommend solutions.
- Support testing activities including UAT, defect management, and test scenario development.
- Contribute to business readiness, training needs analysis, change impact assessments, and transition activities.
- Prepare briefing papers, status reports, governance artefacts, and decision-support documentation.
- Work within Agile, Hybrid, or Waterfall delivery environments as required.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, showcases, retrospectives, and other project ceremonies.
Skills Requirements: Demonstrated experience in business analysis and systems analysis within ICT-enabled delivery environments.
- Strong ability to elicit, analyse, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
- Experience producing business analysis artefacts including requirements documentation, process maps, user stories, acceptance criteria, wireframes, entity relationship diagrams, and customer journey maps.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, consultation, facilitation, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Experience supporting projects through discovery, design, delivery, testing, and implementation phases.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams while operating with initiative and sound judgement.
- Experience working in Agile, Hybrid, or iterative delivery environments.
- Experience with ServiceNow, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, ERP platforms, or other enterprise business systems is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Australian Government governance, privacy, security, accessibility, records management, and procurement considerations is advantageous.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in Business Analysis, Agile Delivery, Systems Analysis, Project Delivery, or Service Design are desirable.
