Job Description

Lead complex valuation engagements, advise influential clients and help shape a growing specialist advisory practice in Sydney.

  • Manage client relationships, projects and junior team members
  • Deliver clear, commercially focused advice across diverse transactions and strategic decisions

The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Valuations Manager to join a respected and growing advisory practice in Sydney. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded valuation professional who enjoys combining technical depth with client-facing responsibility.

You will take ownership of complex valuation engagements from initial scoping through to delivery, working closely with senior stakeholders and clients across a broad range of industries. The role offers genuine scope to build trusted relationships, develop junior team members and contribute to the continued growth of a high-performing valuations practice.

What you will do

  • Lead business valuation, financial modelling and advisory engagements for a diverse client base.
  • Manage projects end to end, including scoping, analysis, reporting, quality assurance and delivery.
  • Prepare robust valuation analyses and clear, commercially focused reports for clients and stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, referral partners and internal teams.
  • Guide and mentor junior team members, supporting both their technical development and day-to-day delivery.
  • Contribute to proposals, pitches, business development activity and the growth of the practice.
  • Work with senior leaders on complex, high-value and strategically important client matters.

About you

You will bring demonstrated experience in business valuation, corporate finance, transaction advisory, deal advisory or a closely related field. You are technically strong, commercially aware and confident communicating complex financial matters in a clear, practical way.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Experience leading or managing valuation engagements and client deliverables.
  • Strong financial modelling, analytical and report-writing capability.
  • A sound understanding of valuation methodologies and commercial drivers.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of work.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder-management skills.
  • A collaborative approach, with an interest in mentoring and developing others.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and professional accreditation, or progress toward it.

Why consider this role?

This is a chance to step into a visible, client-facing role with meaningful responsibility and room to grow. You will join a supportive team, work on varied and intellectually engaging assignments, and have the opportunity to build your career in a specialist valuations environment.
